The Infiniti Q30 Concept was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show after much anticipation. The premium compact is targeted at younger premium customers which has been forecasted to grow significantly in the coming years. The Q30 Concept is a design vision which evokes a contemporary, individualized character for Gen X and Gen Y buyers.

“We are becoming the younger, trendsetting brand, more relevant and more exciting. First the Infiniti Q50, and now the Q30 Concept, delivers on this promise,” said Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company, Ltd.
Infiniti’s Executive Design Director Alfonso Albaisa describes the Q30 Concept as a vehicle defying categorization. The car will be a fusion of three body styles - a coupe, a hatch and a crossover. The brand is presenting the concept as a modern alternative with its artistically sculpted and unique interior design to traditional premium vehicles.

Connectivity, technology and a plethora of features such as the Infiniti InTouch that the younger market demands will be available in the premium compact. The future Q30 when released as a production model is set to up against the Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA.
Infiniti Director of Performance, and three-time Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel, was also presented a special helmet to use in testing engineering prototypes of the future compact premium model - the first Infiniti model he will influence from its inception. Further cementing the brand’s intent on targeting a younger and more dynamic market.
