The Euro compact sedan will soon be saying hello to a new Italian after Alfa Romeo officially held the world debut of the Guilia at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. First revealed online back in June, Alfa Romeo claimed they imbued the new Giulia with Italian aesthetics and engineering and is set to take a chunk of the compact and high-performance sedan segments.

The signature trefoil grill is immediately seen up front and is paired up with sweeping headlights, sharp-looking hood and a vented front bumper. It also has an active aero splitter which manages downforce and enables better cornering according to Alfa Romeo.

Over to the side, it has well-defined character line, side skirts and alloy wheels that are unique to Alfa Romeo. The rear on the other hand gets triangular LED taillights that were made by Magnetti Marelli, trunk-mounted spoiler, bumper-integrated diffuser and quad exhausts.

Exact details about the interior remain scarce but Alfa Romeo did say it will be upholstered in both Alcantara and leather. Based on the image, other interior features include: partially-wrapped Alcantara steering wheel, dual gauge cluster and a media display.

Powering the Quadrifoglio-spec Giulia is the 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 that carries ‘Ferrari-inspired technology and expertise’ according to Alfa Romeo. It generates 510 PS and 600 Nm of torque which allows it to sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds before hitting its 307 km/h top speed.

With a curb weight of 1,534kg along with a claimed 50:50 weight distribution between the front and rear axles, the Giulia Quadrifoglio is set to be a contender in the high-performance compact segment which includes the likes of the BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG.

Introductory price of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is at EUR 79,000 (about PhP 4.16 million).
