Frankfurt 2015 Preview: Honda Civic Tourer Active Life concept revealed


Honda's Frankfurt-bound concept is based on the Civic Tourer

Honda has revealed the Active Life concept ahead of the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show next week. Based on the Civic Tourer, Honda says the Active Life concept shows that style and space can work together.   

The said concept is essentially designed to suit individuals who have an active lifestyle. The exterior comes with a custom blue paint finish with gun metallic accents and a silver roofline. Honda says the concept also has a specially designed aerodynamic roof box, a custom design rear bumper and a set of 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Active Life concept features a smart loading rack, capable of accommodating two bicycles inside the car. In this regard, the concept makes full use of its 1,668 liters cargo space. In addition, the concept comes with a built in integrated air pump, a large light located on the tailgate, an extended shade area and a retractable bench.


The Active Life concept is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder i-DTEC engine which recently set a new Guinness World Record for fuel economy. This diesel engine delivers 120 PS and 300 Nm of torque. Honda claims that the 1.6-liter i-DTEC engine enables the vehicle to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.1 seconds.
