Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. seeks to intensify its position as China’s leading vehicle exporter by concentrating its effort in increasing sales in the European market with the launch of an all-new compact SUV using an all-new high quality platform.
Based on the teaser photos, the vehicle looks to be hefty unit with highly pronounced front and rear fenders that emphasize its strong lines. The more modern interpretation of the grille is flanked by what seems like LED headlamps wrapped with daytime running lamps and the interior previews a standing infotainment monitor with compact climate control dials at the bottom.
This compact SUV, which will be revealed in pre-production form at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 12, will be the first of several passenger vehicles Chery plans to launch in Europe within the next few years.
Part of a long term strategy by the Chinese automaker, a fresh international design along with engineering centers will be put up dedicated to new products and nameplates to serve the European market.
The upcoming Chery products will focus on alternative-energy powertrains, distinguished design, state-of-the-art connectivity, outstanding design and establishing a connection with its customers on an emotional level.
