At the front, the new coupé shares the same styling as the latest C-Class, yet offers its own twist on it. The front view is dominated by the radiator grille, clearly emphasized as a central element by the line of the bumper. Two chrome louvers extend to either side of the central star in coupé-typical style, tapering off at the outer edges to accentuate the sporty, arrow-shaped sweep of the front end. The dashboard reveals a strong, sporty and high-quality design. Engine choices range from the CDI diesel engines to the 3.5 liter V6 motors.
Also making its debut at Geneva is the powerful C63 AMG. The latest addition to the AMG line features the introduction of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission. With the new "Controlled Efficiency" mode as standard, along with a new power steering pump, the new C63 improves the combined NEDC fuel consumption by about ten percent. Power remains unchanged at 457 hp, but with the optional AMG Performance package, the power figure is bumped up to 487 hp.
