SsangYong will unveil its new SIV-1 (Smart Interface Vehicle) concept model at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show in March. The SIV-1 is a multi interface mid-premium crossover utility vehicle(CUV) concept that will define the brand’s new design philosophy.

The SIV-1 concept measures 4,500mm x 1,880mm x 1,640mm and has a wheelbase of 2,700mm; it will feature a 'Mobile Auto System' together with four independent bucket seats.

The Ssangyong brand has been battling bankruptcy for the past few years due to horrible designs and unpopular models. In the Philippines, the brand has ultimately died a natural death with its last distributor Wheels Inc. Indian Mahindra & Mahindra acquired 70% of the Korean carmaker in 2011 to breathe new life to the brand.
