SsangYong reveals its Smart Interface Vehicle(SIV-1) mid-size premium crossover concept at the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show. The car is the next iteration the XIV concept vehicle presented at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
SsangYong expects the SIV-1 to be one of its strategic model once launched as a production car. It was designed to show SsangYong's new design philosophy that was first seen in the XIV concept. It features intense character lines throughout its body and the huge rear bumper to signify its robust quality and functionality.
The inspiring concept from SsangYong aims to incorporate new and existing technologies into the crossover through its 'Mobile Auto System' which allows mobile devices to be integrated with the car and function as the infotainment system's control hub. It can also be used to prepare the car according to the driver's preset settings even before entering the car.
Some more of its proposed feature is the nano coating called 'heat film'. It is pre-applied to all exterior glass surfaces of the vehicle and heats the glass to ensure good visibility during cold weather and helps maintain cabin temperature efficiently.
