Toyota Europe is set to hold the reveal of the next-generation Toyota Aygo at the Geneva Motor Show. The Japanese automaker has released a teaser image of its upcoming micro hatchback city car. In its teaser video, Toyota says they designed a car that is fun for people who want to be different, expressive and individual.
The design of the new Aygo is very consistent with the new corporate image of Toyota which features sharper lines both inside and outside with a dyanmic appeal.
"What I wanted to do is design a car that would stand out in a Japanese sense that would catch the spirit of the European people," said David Terai, Chief Engineer for the Aygo.
No further details have been revealed about the new Aygo. The previous generation was available either in three-door or five-door hatchback versions. It was fitted with a 1.0-liter 1KR-FE 3-cylinder engine also found in the 2014 Wigo, which recently made its Philippine launch. The Aygo was first debuted at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show.
