Italdesign Giugiaro has revealed the GEA concept, a luxury autonomous autobile concept, at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show.
Designed to preview the future of luxury mobility, the chassis and body of the GEA concept is made from aluminum, carbon fiber and magnesium. The front and rear lighting system of the concept is based on Audi's laserlight and LED technology.
The GEA concept also has muscular wheel arches and the glass surfaces has a slim chrome molding. The concept is finished off with 26-inch 60-spoke wheels.
Inside, the GEA concept has two 19-inch LED screens and a 180-degree swivel front passenger seat. The GEA concept also comes with a smartphone app which allows the driver to open/close the doors, adjust the seats, climate control and infotainment system.
In addition, the concept comes with a virtual red carpet (via illumination) when the 'book-type' doors are opened. Lastly, the side windows are polarized and tinted when the GEA concept is in autonomous mode.
The concept is powered by four electric motors that generate a combined output of 775 PS and Italdesign Giugiaro claims that the GEA can reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
