Geneva 2015: Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce unleashed

Lamborghini's latest bull gets more power, advanced gearbox, suspension, and a diet

Automobili Lamborghini has captured the essence of what a Lamborghini super sports car is and poured all of it into the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce that debuted at the Salon de l"Automobile in Geneva.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce will come with increased power, lower weight, improved aerodynamics and innovative technologies making it the "most pure incarnation of a Lamborghini to date: unmistakable Lamborghini super sports car DNA, dynamic superiority and exceptional driving precision."

The weight has been reduced by 110 lbs. by using carbon fiber and lightweight aluminum frames that are serially produced for the Superveloce.  Carbon fiber components are also used on the new door panels and new rockers and fenders in SMC superlight, rear wing, and the fixed air intakes.

The 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine has been redesigned for more power and setup with a new lightweight exhaust system.  It is mated to the "fastest automated manual gearbox in the world," the Lamborghini ISR transmission.

Output has been increased to 760 PS at 8,400 rpm and 690 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm resulting in a 10-percent improvement of power-to-weight-ratio to 2,03 kg/hp.

The Superveloce"s overall aerodynamics has increased 150-percent giving it 170-percent extra downforce and allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and powers on to reach a top speed of more than 350 km/h.
