English company Kahn Design is set to reveal a coach-built concept based on the Land Rover Defender 110 that, during production, was nicknamed ‘Mission 1’ before finally getting the nameplate Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6x6 Concept.
Equipped with a 6.2-liter GM LS3 V8 engine that produces 436Ps and is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox with tap shift control, the Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6x6 Concept will have a hi-lo ratio drive system and locking differentials along with a rugged heavy duty chassis as well as upgraded braking and suspension systems.
The concept gains a 400mm extension to the bonnet, an 800mm extension to the rear cabin and has been widened by 150mm. The windshield’s rake has been increased and the rear and front doors widened to improve entry and egress. It also comes with a full panoramic roof that extends from the B pillars all the way to the rear of the vehicle.
A production schedule is being finalized along with plans for a 4 or 6 wheel version and a choice between hard or pickups.
