Mercedes has long been teasing the upcoming 2018 E-Class Cabriolet. The Cabriolet will be joining a handful of Mercedes and AMG models which will also debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. It will also complete the full E-Class lineup as the coupe, sedan and estate version have all been revealed.

With the new design, the 2018 E-Class Cabriolet is now longer and wider compared to the previous-generation. Because of the new dimensions, the E-Class Cabriolet is by far one of the largest models in the E-Class lineup. It also allows for more space inside the vehicle giving passengers, specifically at those at the rear, to have a more comfortable and spacious ride.

To have a more comfortable ride, the suspension has also been tweaked, making the Cabriolet comfortable and have a unique and sporty stance. An optional multi-chamber air suspension that adjusts automatically gives drivers a better feel and also allows them to change the firmness of the suspension.

The driving parameters regarding suspension and transmission is controlled by Merecedes' Dynamic Select system, which drivers use to change vehicle settings such as suspension, throttle response, shift points of the transmission, etc. All of which allows the driver to utilize which setting works best for them.

The twin-turbo V6 in the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet

Powering the E-Class Cabriolet is the same 3.0-liter biturbo V6 producing 329 PS, along with the 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission found in the E-Class Coupe. Same as with the C-Class and S-Class Cabriolets, it will come in either 4MATIC all-wheel drive or rear wheel drive form.

Inside, the E-Class Cabriolet has the same features found on the coupe version. Meaning it has jet inspired air vents, LED ambient lighting, and wide array of choices for interior color. As the roof does go down giving plenty of sky, Mercedes has included the new Aircap and Airscarf system that deflects wind and keep warm air in the cabin for those chilly, open-top drives.

The most talked about feature of the Cabriolet however has to be the fabric soft top roof, giving the driver and passengers and endless amount of sky at their finger tips. The roof retracts in less than 20seconds and can be operated while being driven. Color choices for the roof include – dark brown, dark blue, red or black, and is protected from the elements in the trunk when down.
