Bentley's already luxurious SUV, gets more refinement courtesy of Mulliner
The Bentley Bentayga is already considered as one of the most luxurious made SUV ever. So, how did the British marque improve on the already luxurious Bentayga? They handed it over to their in-house coach builder Mulliner, further refining the it into the Bentley's “ultimate luxury SUV” and taking decadence to a whole new level.
To further refine the Bentayga, Mulliner has set about offering numerous interior and exterior changes to reflect on Bentley's history along with the customer's individual selection. Power-wise, the more luxurious Bentayga still uses the 6.0-liter W12 engine that puts out 600 PS.
Exterior wise, the most notable difference are the newly designed 22-inch seven-spoke wheels with a floating center cap. A unique set of badges also go along with the now body colored lower bodywork and a new bright chrome lower bumper grille. An optional two-tone paint job is also available.
Inside, the interior has also been revamped by Mulliner, giving it a mix of modern and traditional feel of coach built work. The hand-stitched hides receives Mulliner embroidery and contrast stitching. For those that opted for the two-tone paint, the interior can also be finished off in different color schemes. It works by splitting the interior front and back allowing two different color schemes for the front and rear seat.
The Bentayga Mulliner also features a new champagne bottle cooler with Cumbria Crystal flutes that are integrated into the rear center console. Ombré Burr Walnut Veneer is also used in the side panels and center console transitioning from the standard black fascia. Meanwhile, Bentley's My Mood offers six different mood settings and fifteen color choices.
Mulliner's most bespoke option for the Bentayga has to be the mechanical Mulliner Tourbillon Breitling clock. The Mulliner Tourbillon features 196 pieces and “is automatically wound periodically by a dedicated high-precision winding mechanism within the car.” according to Bentley. Those who opt for the Mulliner Tourbillon can choose between solid yellow, white, or rose gold, and their choice of either mother-of-pearl or a black ebony face with eight diamond indexes.
No word yet regarding the price of the Mulliner but considering the clock already cost $154,000, expect the car to be a lot more expensive.
