An all-new tire is now available in the Philippines and is set to last longer and deliver better grip than its predecessor.
Following last year's launch of the Assurance TripleMax 2 tires, Goodyear Philippines has released the all-new Assurance DuraPlus 2 tires in the country. Designed for both small and mid-sized vehicles, the new tires features longer-lasting treads, more durable sidewalls, as well as reduced tire noise and added road comfort.
The new tire serves as the successor to the first DuraPlus which was launched way back in 2015. Alex Ng, Market Director of Goodyear for the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Distributor Markets, said that the new tire is much more improved and will give customers the freedom to go further, as well as enjoy quiet performance.
“There is a huge opportunity for the Philippines in the small- to mid-sized passenger market segment, and we are ready to serve this segment with the launch of the New Assurance DuraPlus 2. Its predecessor, the Assurance DuraPlus, was widely accepted with its launch last 2015 appealing to drivers who are value durability and long mileage,” said Ng.
Through upgraded developments, the Assurance DuraPlus 2 comes with three distinct features. First up is its TredLife Technology which allows customers to drive up to 110,000 km before replacing the tires. It has a new symmetric tread pattern design, along with a wider cavity shape and narrower grooves. These allow the tire to have increased tire rotation and better wearing over time, as well as a more balanced footprint to maintain a larger contact patch.
Thanks to its two-layer construction and improved sidewall material, Goodyear claimed that Assurance DuraPlus 2 has increased resistance from sidewall impacts and other environmental factors. Finally, its unique new tread pattern with noise-damping rubber layers minimizes road noise for a quieter riding experience.
The Goodyear Assurance DuraPlus 2 is available in both 14- and 15-inch sizes.
