The GoPro HERO3+ cameras, which were recently debuted in the US have made their way to the Philippine market through Dan’s Group Philippines and Moduvi Philippines, official distributors of GoPro in the Philippines. The new HERO3+ line of cameras are 20% smaller, lighter, 4x faster WiFi performance with the GoPro App, and a promise of 30% better battery life compared to previous models; they are also waterproof up to 40 meters.
GoPro declares the new lineup to be the most advanced and easy-to-use camera with its upgraded features, improved lens and convenient new capture modes. Since its inception GoPro has enabled people around the world to capture and share their experiences in ways never before possible. It enabled people to document their experiences and adventures in video without the help of someone else to film them. An average of three videos tagged with ‘GoPro’ are uploaded to YouTube every minute.

We saw that we could make the HERO3+ significantly smaller and lighter while at the same time increasing battery life 30%. The new GoPro HERO3+ lineup is composed of the HERO3+ Black Edition and HERO3+ Silver Edition.
The professional grade Black Edition features SuperView, Auto Low Light function, 12-megapixel photo camera, continuous photo, simultaneous photo and video capturing, Protune video mode, auto white balance, high video bitrate of up to 45/Mbs, and a WiFi remote.
The prosumer Silver Edition features 2x faster image processing compared to its predecessor the HERO3 Silver Edition, a 10-megapixel photo camera, and high video bitrate of up to 25/Mbs.
New mounts have also been introduced to further improve the versatility of the new cameras. The new ‘Jaws: Flex Clamp’, ‘Junior Chesty’ kids chest harness and Head Strap + Quick Clip were also announced as new accessories.
The WiFi enabled GoPro cameras can be controlled via your iOS or Android smartphone with the free GoPro App. The company has also introduced GoPro Studio 2.0 to make editing videos easier with its simple to use storyboard-based interface. The video editor is free to download on the GoPro website and is available for both Mac and Windows operating systems.
The GoPro HERO3+ Black Edition retails for PhP19,990, while the HERO3+ Silver Edition retails for PhP15,490.
