Age is just a number. Cliche, yes, but to a certain extent, it's true.
Growing old shouldn't stop you from doing the fun things you like. Just take a look at this 93-year old Japanese man, for example. Even at his age, he's still enjoying racing games.
A YouTuber, who goes by Olivin Corp, recently uploaded videos of his grandfather driving various vehicles in the virtual world. The first and most heartwarming video of all has garnered over 3 million views to date. That video garnered so many views because it's a car that his grandfather owned in the past – a first-generation Mazda RX-7. He played it on Forza, and it's finished in the same silver color as his old car.
There are various videos, and it's all very heartwarming to watch. Some of those videos show him behind the wheel of a Subaru WRC rally car, Honda S2000, and even a blue Nissan S30 Fairlady Z styled similar to the “Devil Z” from Wangan Midnight. The games aren't limited to just Forza either. “Ojisan” also plays Assetto with mods and Gran Turismo. If you notice, he also drives in manual mode, utilizing the shifter and clutch.
According to Japanese Nostalgic Car, the Youtuber explains that his grandfather isn't a gamer but is a car enthusiast. He has since voluntarily surrendered his driver's license as well. But with video games and the driving rig, his grandfather can continue driving on, even trying out cars he never got to own. Seeing his smile while driving is enough to brighten anyone's day.
