Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) is calling on Filipino artists with the launch of the Hyundai POP Art Contest.

Hyundai's POP (which stands for Pride of the Philippines) Art Contest aims to bring together aspiring Filipino artists as part of the leading automotive firm’s advocacy to promote young, home-grown talent and to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of Filipino Art.

The mechanics and requirements of the contest are as follows:

  1. The digital art work must feature any Hyundai car model, fused with elements drawn from Filipino tribal and popular art.
  2. Car images may be original photographs or sketches of the participant, or downloaded from the Hyundai Digital Art Facebook App, or digitally rendered and manipulated or vectorized.

Votes from Facebook comprise 20% of the criteria. Twelve winners shall be chosen. Each one will receive a cash prize of Php 50,000.00 and Hyundai merchandise. Winning artworks will also get a chance to be featured in the 2013 Hyundai calendar or other Hyundai merchandise.

Deadline for submission is October 15, 2012. Voting period is from October 16 to 27.
