Motorists looking to get around the metro this weekend better expect heavy traffic along the way. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that they will be conducting road repairs in both EDSA and C5 Road.
Starting May 28, 11:00 PM, the DPWH's road maintenance crew will conduct road reblocking at the northbound section of both roadways.
Along the stretch of C5, road repairs will be made near C.P. Garcia, Rajah Matanda, and Highland Drive. The first two will be from the 3rd lane from the sidewalk, while the last section will be on the 2nd lane from the sidewalk. As for EDSA, the DPWH will be doing road reblocking activities along the northbound direction near Kaingin Road.
Under the implementation of DPWH Quezon City 2nd District Engineering Office, the road repair works were given clearance by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). Motorists are advised to slow down near the affected areas. All affected road segments that will undergo road repairs will reopen by 5:00 AM, May 31, 2021.
If you do need to go out and will pass by these roads, remember to be careful and slow down. Better yet, take a different route to avoid having to go through the traffic.
