From the record breaking Venom to the upcoming F5 hypercar, Hennesey Performance has built and continues to build some of the wildest vehicles on the planet. Recently, the Texas-based tuning factory has reached a production milestone by building their 10,000th vehicle – a special 808 horsepower Ford Mustang.
Called the Heritage Edition Mustang, it was said to be inspired from the 2018 Ford GT Heritage Edition as seen in the livery. Apart from the unique finish, it also comes with a carbon fiber body kit to improve aero as well as styling. For starters, there's a new front splitter and a new side skirt. At the rear, there is a more pronounced diffuser topped off by a carbon fiber lip spoiler. New 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires were also fitted which hide the large Brembo brakes at the front and rear.
Under the hood, Hennessey beefed up the power of the 5.0-liter Coyote V8. It was fitted with a 3.0-liter supercharger system, air-to-water intercooler, new injectors and an upgraded fuel pump to help bump up the power figures. The result is a muscle car that delivers 808 PS and 918 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. Thanks to the power upgrade, the Heritage Edition Mustang now goes from 0-97 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. Quarter mile time is said to be at 10.7 and reach a top speed of over 322 km/h.
Only 19 units of the Heritage Edition Mustang will be built. Each one will come with an individually numbered dashboard, engine plaques and a letter of authenticity. It even comes with a letter of gratitude from John Hennessey himself.
The Heritage Edition Mustang will not be US-only. Hennessey Performance will be offering the 808 PS Mustang to any interested customer in the world. In fact, Hennessey is already accepting orders with prices starting at $89,950 (Php 4,778,600).
