The wait is over. After showing us the available variants, features, and revisions, the 2021 Nissan Navara has officially been launched in the Philippines.
The refreshed Navara features the brand's new 'Unbreakable' design language on framed-based vehicles. Borrowing inspiration from the Titan pick-up truck, the Navara gets a bolder V-Motion front grille, new quad projector LED headlights, C-shaped LED daytime running lights, sleek LED taillights, restyled foglight bezels, and new front and rear bumper designs.
For those that prefer a more macho-looking Navara, there's the new Pro-4X variant. Unlike the standard Navara, this one trades chrome for black and gray accents. From the front grille, door handles, grille badge, roof rails, and skid plates, the Pro-4X looks rugged and mean.
To spice things up, the Pro-4X also features Lava Orange accents on the skid plate, fender accents, and badges. Furthermore, the 17-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in Yokohama all-terrain tires – exclusive only on the Pro-4X.
Besides upgrading the exterior, Nissan was also busy changing up the interior of the 2021 Navara. Perhaps the most prominent features are the new three-spoke steering wheel, revised instrument gauges, updated touchscreen infotainment system (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), new automatic climate control panel, and additional USB (and USB-C) ports. As before, Nissan's Zero Gravity Seats are standard across all versions, with different upholstery options, as well as adjustment options (including power adjustment).
The rear seats, meanwhile, have been upgraded too and now feature extended and higher cushions for improved ride comfort. A rear center armrest with integrated cupholders ensure the rear passengers can sit comfortably with their drinks.
To give drivers peace of mind while on the road, the 2021 Navara also comes available with the brand's Intelligent Mobility Features. Standard on the VL and Pro-4X grades, the pick-up gets smart safety kit like driver attention alert, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, a 360-degree around-view monitor, and moving object detection.
Other available safety features on the 2021 Navara are hill-start assist, hill-descent control, six airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, vehicle dynamics control, speed-sensing door locks, and ISOFIX anchors for child seats.
All models are powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine mated to either a 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission. The EL and VE 4x2 manual variants are rated at 163 PS and 403 Nm of torque. On the VE 4x2 A/T, VE 4x4 M/T, VL 4x2 A/T, VL 4x4 M/T VL 4x4 A/T, and the Pro-4X, the pick-up generates 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque.
The 2021 Nissan Navara comes with an exclusive 5-year warranty and will be available in Nissan dealerships starting in April.
