With cash lanes making a return at all toll plazas in North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) for the holidays, it seems NLEX Corporation will be able to mitigate the RFID woes they're currently experiencing. But to further improve traffic flow along the expressway, NLEX Corporation announced that they moved the RFID installation sites away from the toll plazas.

Effective today, December 14, all EasyTrip RFID installation sites have been moved to more convenient locations that are near the toll plazas. That is to ensure that there will be no congestions at the toll plazas, especially during peak hours. Depending on the location you want to have an RFID sticker installed, some can entertain all vehicle classes, while some can only accommodate Class 1 vehicles.

Also, most of the sites (or tents) can cater to walk-in applicants, meaning they don't need to set an appointment. These include the Balintawak and Bocaue weighing stations, Balagtas, Tabang, San Fernando, Petron Lakeshore, Angeles, Karuhatan, Petron Marilao Northbound, Petron Bocaue Southbound, Shell Burol Northbound, and Meycauyan Drive-Thru Installation at East Service Road.

As to those that prefer by appointment basis, there five installation sites available. These are NLEX Drive & Dine, Balintawak EasyTrip Tent Customer Service Parking Area, Mindanao EasyTrip Tent near Que Grande Overpass, Marilao Toll Plaza Southbound Parking Area, and Sta. Rita EasyTrip Tent. Those that wish to schedule an appointment can go to this link and set up their preferred date and time.

NLEX Corporation is optimistic that by moving the installation sites, traffic flow will improve on the expressway. And with the holidays fast approaching, the company's decision to relocate the installation sites is a sound one.
