A few weeks ago, we shared a couple of spy shots of the 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback. Those photos have confirmed that the small hatchback will, indeed, get the 'Dynamic Shield' look and that it won't be a full model change.
While we've seen the Mirage unmasked, it hasn't stopped Mitsubishi from showing a teaser photo. Not only that, the preview also shows what the sedan G4 will look like as well. This also means that the cars will make their debuts sooner than later.
By the looks of things, it seems that the G4 will retain the look of its rear end. There might be some changes in the light clusters, but the shape of the tail lights appear similar. Also seen is the extended rear bumper, much like the ones we see now.
If you recall the news item we did in July, Mitsubishi North America said that the car will make its debut by November, and it seems that they're right on schedule for its release. It was also mentioned that it will have a new front look, as well as more features such as automatic climate control. Other features could include automatic emergency braking, anti-pedal misapplication, and stability control. However, those features might only be found in markets outside the Philippines.
Our friends from Headlightmag have suggested that the car will make its ASEAN debut at the upcoming Bangkok Motor Expo this month. Mitsubishi has yet to mention any more details regarding the 2020 Mirage, but we are expecting most of its mechanical parts to be carried over from the current model. If so, that means we'll see the familiar 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine under the hood.
