Are you the owner of an Accord, Civic, CR-V, City, or Jazz built from the early 2000s up until 2014? If you are, then you might want to have your car checked by your nearest Honda dealership.

That's because Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) recently reminded its customers once again to have their airbag inflators replaced. As part of the ongoing recall, certain models from Honda could be carrying a faulty airbag inflator from Takata. Should the airbag deploy with the original inflator, serious injury or death may result from it.

The following models that are part of the airbag recall include:

2001 – 2011 Civic

2001 – 2013 CR-V

2003 – 2013 Accord

2003 – 2014 City

2004 – 2014 Jazz

Apart from the sedans and hatchbacks, HCPI also announced that older generations of the Pilot are also part of the airbag recall. Units built from 2006 – 2008, as well as those made from 2012 – 2015 need to have their airbag inflators replaced.

Worried that there will be a fee waiting after the airbag inflator has been replaced? Not to worry as HCPI said that the replacement of the airbag inflator will be free of charge.

The company has already reminded customers back in October 2018 to have their faulty inflators replaced as soon as possible.
