Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. celebrates 20,000 City sales since the introduction of the 3rd generation City in 2009.
"The current generation City is more than the usual subcompact sedan, gaining popularity not only in Asia but also in Africa, Middle East and European regions," said Mr. Tatsuya Natsume, President and General Manager of Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. "We are proud to share that the City has consistently generated sales milestones for Honda. Back then, average annual sales were approximately 3,400 units. With the entry of the third generation City, annual sales on its launch year soared to 8,882 units. Such record was even surpassed on its second year with 8,914 in 2010. And now, another milestone has been reached."
Honda held a special ceremony in Honda Cars Fairview to honor its 20,000th City owner. Mr. Gilbert Grafia was represented by his wife and children since he was abroad for work. His wife, Grace, shared that this was the family's first time to buy a car. She said, "We only wanted the best for our family and so we chose a Honda."
Grafia family bought the top of the line variant, City 1.5 E in Crystal Black color. As a simple token of appreciation, Honda awarded complimentary Modulo accessories worth Php 60,000 to Grafia family to further enhance their City's sophisticated styling.
