Honda's new President & CEO Takahiro Hachigo has revealed his vision for the company. According to Hachigo, Honda will be driven by two themes: continuous development of products and advancement of global operation structure.
Under the first theme, Hachigo said that the CR-V and the Accord will undergo full makeover in the future in order to make these two Honda vehicles more appealing. He adds that the said models will feature “new technologies, higher competitiveness and innovative designs.”
Subsequently, the next-generation Civic will be equipped with a new platform and a downsized turbo engine. In addition, the company is eyeing to launch their new fuel-cell vehicle in Japan by March 31, 2016.
Hachigo also said that Honda will utilize its regional production capacity. With this, the next-generation Civic five-door hatchback will be supplied from Europe to other regions while the next-generation CR-V will be built in Canada and exported to Europe.
