During our drive in Bohol, Masanao Kataoka, senior assistant vice president for Honda Cars Philippines Inc., told us that more variants for the all-new Civic will be arriving soon. The company has now expanded the lineup with the Modulo models and is available in both the 1.8 E and 1.5 RS Turbo.

There are three Modulo models for the 2016 Civic, namely the 1.8 E Modulo, 1.5 RS Modulo and 1.5 RS Modulo Sport. All three Civic Modulo variants come with a front chin, unique side skirts and rear bumper, Modulo exhaust pipe finishers, and a Modulo emblem. Inside, these three Modulo variants are equipped with a Side Step Garnish. The 1.8 E CVT Modulo gets a rear spoiler while the RS Turbo Modulo Sport Variant rides on 17-inch matte black Modulo Alloy Wheels. Modulo accessories come with a three year warranty.

Engine specs are unchanged from the standard models. The Civic 1.8 E Modulo is powered by the 1.8 liter i-VTEC engine with Earth Dreams technology. It produces 141 PS and 174 Nm of torque. For the Civic 1.5 RS Turbo Modulo and Modulo Sport, it comes with 1.5 liter i-VTEC Turbo mill, also with Earth Dreams technology. The turbocharged Civics put out 173 PS and 220 Nm of torque. All models are mated to a continuously variable transmission.
