Honda Jazzes up its vehicle lineup
The styling of the Jazz is based on the "zenshin" design concept, which means new, progressive and integrated. A unique feature to the car is its 8 windshield glassy cabin with so-called triangle windows, which not only adds to its dynamic form but also allows a good view from the inside.
As standard with new Honda vehicle models, the man maximum, machine minimum," concept was used by Honda engineers to develop a more spacious interior by reducing space for the engine compartment. Other contributing factors to interior space are the relocation of the fuel tank and redesigned compact rear suspension. With the ULT (Utility, Long and Tall) seat technology it allows flexible configurations to fit passengers and luggage. With this unique feature, no less than 1,323 liters of cargo space is made possible.
The Jazz is powered by a 1.3-liter i-DSI SOHC engine similar to that of the City and comes with a CVT and Honda Steermatic with 7-speed mode for some models. The power plant complies with stringent EURO4 emissions standard. With Honda's E-Tech or Ecology Concious Technology, harmful emissions are reduced to levels approximately one third of those specified by current regulations.
Pricing for the Jazz starts at Php590,000 for the base 1.3A model with 5-speed manual gearbox. While the top trim 1.3S CVT transmission model retails at Php690,000. The Jazz will come in five colors, Tafetta White, Rallye Red, Satin Silver Metallic, Vivid Blue, and Silverstone Metallic.
