Honda opens NSX to pre-orders

To be sold in 2015

You've heard the NSX was coming, but apparently, Honda UK has now opened a pre-order bank for the upcoming supercar when it goes on sale in 2015.

For a deposit of GBP 5,000, you can reserve your own NSX, a car that is currently undergoing development by Honda R&D Americas. The concept version was recently shown at the Detroit motor show, and will be powered by a mid-mounted, direct-injected V6 engine with twin electric motors, and will come with Honda’s Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) system.

“We are still two years away from the launch of the car and yet we’ve received over 20 deposits and that’s before we’ve even announced prices or seen the final production car,” said Phil Crossman, Managing Director, Honda (UK). “With this process in place we are confident demand will remain strong and early hand raisers can now visit any Honda dealership in the UK and place a deposit.”

The upcoming Honda NSX will be manufactured at a new plant in Ohio.

Perhaps Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. can do the same?
