Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has launched the 2015 CR-V at Enderun Tent, McKinley Hill in Taguig City. The 2015 CR-V is HCPI's seventh newest offering for the Philippine market, following the Accord, City, Jazz, Brio, Brio Amaze and Civic.
First introduced in the Philippines in 1997, the fourth generation CR-V has an updated exterior design, a refreshed interior amenities and comes with a set of standard safety features.
Up front, the design changes applied to the 2015 CR-V can be seen at first glance. It has a new front grill that comes with a honeycomb-shaped pattern. The headlights now looks sharper and are integrated with LED daytime running lights. The 2015 CR-V has a restyled fog lamps and a more aggressive bumper. Chrome inserts can also be seen throughout the front fascia of the fourth generation CR-V.
HCPI President and General Manager Toshio Kuwahara said in his speech that the 2015 CR-V will meet the demands of customers and was developed to fit their various needs.
“We are confident that the new CR-V will meet the demands of the discerning customers who are looking for a smart SUV that will help make life’s adventure different and exciting. The New CR-V is developed to fit customers with various needs, especially now that it will be available with different variants to choose from and has more features to enjoy,” Kuwahara said.
Looking at the rear, the 2015 CR-V is equipped with a redesigned taillights along with a new bumper that comes with a silver garnish. The chrome trim above the license plate area is now bigger compared to the previous model. The 2015 CR-V also sports a shark-fin antenna and larger reflectors. It is finished off with a sporty 17-inch alloy wheels.
Stepping inside the cabin, the 2015 CR-V features a black interior along with leather seats. The driver seat has lumbar support and can be electronically adjusted in eight ways. Moreover, the 2015 CR-V has a push start system and new infotainment system. It also has an intelligent Multi Information Display (i-MID) which shows information such as fuel consumption, trip computer and a 7-inch touch screen display audio coupled with a built-in navigation system.
Honda says the 2015 CR-V is equipped with “Lane Watch” safety technology feature which monitors blind spots through a camera located on the passenger-side mirror. It also comes with a number of safety features including the Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), driver and passenger SRS airbags, side airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Hill Start Assist.
The 2015 CR-V is available in both 2.4 and 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine. The 2.4-liter engine delivers 185 PS at 7000 rpm while the 2.0-liter generates 153 PS at 6500 rpm. The engines are mated to either a 5-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission.

It will be available in five colors: Copper Sunset Pearl (2.0 S and 2.4 SX only), White Orchid Pearl (2.0 S and 2.4 SX only), Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic (2.0 S and 2.0 V only), Crystal Black Pearl and Modern Steel Metallic.
