Honda's automobile business unit in the Philippines, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) registered a total of 2,520 vehicles for the month of September which is the brand's second highest overall sales to date next to the 2,663 vehicles sold last March.

In the passenger car segment, the company's September sales performance grew up to 57-percent with 1,747 vehicles sold which shows a significant increase from its previous month's sales with only 1,113 units sold. Honda City remains to be the biggest seller for the manufacturer, selling a total of 847 vehicles. According to Honda, another significant contributor is the all-new Honda Civic that sold 602 vehicles.

Meanwhile, the sales of commercial segment which includes the Mobilio, the HR-V, and the CR-V rose to 48-percent from August to September. This segment also achieved a 70.5-percent growth in the Year-To-Date (YTD) sales, owing to the 6,457 units sold from January to September 2016 compared to the 3,787 units sold in the same period last year.

Honda adds that the Mobilio remains to be the best-selling 1.5-liter MPV in the market with 3,889 units sold from January to September this year.
