The new variants are the City 1.5 EL and 1.5 ENC, both of which are offered in automatic transmission and is equipped with paddle shifters. To compliment this, the new variants will also sport seven-spoke 16" alloy wheels. Black leather seats will come as standard for the City 1.5 EL to add a touch of exclusivity. The color Carnelian Red, that was previously available only in the Civic is now also made available to the Honda City.

Safety was also improved with, The City 1.5 ENC is now equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and ISOFIX certified child seat fasteners that are similar to those found in the Honda Pilot and Odyssey models. Seatbelt reminder for both the driver and front passenger also comes as standard. All of these comes with the standard safety features across the City lineup like the dual SRS airbags, ABS and EBD.


“We challenged ourselves once again to change the rules for the City in the Philippines by introducing 1.5 liter variants with first in class premium and safety features”, said Tatsuya Natsume, President and General Manager of Honda Cars Philippines, Inc.

Aside from the new variants, the current Honda City 1.3 S  will be fitted with new 8-spoke 15" alloy wheels.

“These features make the City 1.5 ENC, one of the pioneers to introduce a model (in the Philippines) that gets a 5-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating for adult occupant protection, the highest safety rating possible”, Natsume added.

The Honda City is now available in four variants with a suggested retail price of:

1.3 S MT - Php 746,000

1.3 S AT - Php 786,000

1.5 EL AT - Php 861,000

1.5 ENC AT - Php 876,000
