The first lucky few that placed an order for a Civic Type R has just received their prized poessession. Recently, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) held a turn over ceremony at Honda Cars Manila Bay for the release of the first batch of Civic Type Rs in the country.

First arriving in the country back in September, Honda has now delivered the first seven customer cars to their clients last November 27. Beside handing them the keys to their individual cars, Honda also held a motorcade around the dealership, allowing each customer to drive their Civic Type Rs for the first time on Philippine roads.

Honda Philippines turns over first batch of Civic Type Rs

Apart from the momentous occasion, the all-new Civic Type R can now be viewed at authorized Honda dealerships, most particularly in the Ayala-owned dealerships located in Alabang, Global City, Makati, Pasig, Shaw and Manila Bay.

In review, the all-new Civic Type R is powered by a 2.0-liter K20AC1 turbocharged inline-four that cranks out 310 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to a six-speed manual transmission that comes with rev match control.

The 2018 Honda Civic Type R is priced at Php 2,980,000 and is available in two colors: Championship White and Rallye Red.
