Honda continues its commitment in making Philippine roads safer for everyone after the company celebrated the 10th anniversary of their Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC). Offering programs in both 2-wheel and 4-wheel training, as well as truck driving certification, HSDC plans to continue educating drivers and riders about road courtesy, proper riding and driving, as well as teaching them road signs.
In attendance were key personnel from the brand's group of companies which included Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI), Honda Philippines Inc (HPI) and Honda Manufacturing Parts Corporation (HMPC).
During the event, HSDC updated the public about its projects that helped in making both riders and drivers gain the necessary knowledge in traversing both public roads and highways. Their programs and traning courses also make for reduced accidents as well as safer communities. Moreover, companies like Globe Telecom and Samsung Electronics send their service drivers to HSDC for proper training.
In addition to commemorating ten years of operation, HSDC also launched four new exercises. These are Basic Group Riding Course, Big Bike Safety Course, Executive Defensive Driving Course and Kids on Safety Program.
Capping off the event are the driving and riding challenges that HSDC prepared for the media, special guests and motorcycle clubs. HSDC even gave recognition to the various motorcycle clubs that help in promoting the company's One Honda Road Safety for our Family campaign.
As more cars and motorcycles crowd Metro Manila, HSDC is set to strengthen its programs on road safety, accident prevention and risk reduction through its new traning innovations. For Honda, these will reduce bad road habits, as well as reduce driving-related fatalities.
