Hyundai made a special announcement during its WRC launch, revealing a new ‘N’ division. The new ‘N’ branding will be used to symbolize Hyundai’s high performance technology for future mass-produced high performance cars. The i20 WRC will be the first Hyundai to receive the ‘N’ badge.
Hyundai draws upon the company’s passion for high performance, with the ‘N’ moniker taking inspiration from its Namyang R&D Center in Hwaseong, South Korea. The facility has closely collaborated with Hyundai Motorsport for the development of the i20 WRC car. It has also been attributed as the heart of technological innovation and development which serves as the Korean carmaker’s growth as a global brand.
Interestingly, Hyundai’s current tagline ‘New Thinking, New Possibilities’ also begins with the letter ‘N’.
