Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, has ended 2014 with 4-percent growth sales.

According to HARI, the company's vehicle sales increased to 23,019 units as compared to last year's 22,033 units. However, HARI's sales performance during the month of December declined by 33-percent having sold 1,614 units as compared to last year's 2,416 units.

The not so stellar sales performance of HARI during December was seen in both Passenger Car (PC) and Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) category. HARI says the PC category declined by 28-percent with 1,155 units sold. Despite the category's slow growth in December, HARI's PC segment finished the year with 17-percent increase in sales yielding 16,117 units as comapred to last year's 13,774 units.

On the other hand, the company's LCV category posted a decline of 44-percent in December with 459 units sold. With this, HARI's LCV category declined by 16-percent having sold 6,902 units as compared to last year's 8,259 units.
