Hyundai Digitial Art Competition to promote creativity in Filipino artistry
Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI), th official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, is holding an open call for its first ever 2-part Digital Art Competition. Filipino students and professionals aged 18 and above into digital design are encouraged to join the preliminaries by submitting a digital artwork coresponding to the theme. Hyundai's theme for this year is “Vision of Future Self”.
The preliminaries will be divided into two categories: Student (individuals currently enrolled in SY 2017-2018), and Professional (working individuals engaged in digital art or design from any industry). Twelve shortlisted entrants, comprised of six students and six professionals will then advance to the final round.
Shortlist winners will each receive a certificate, Php 15,000 cash and a host of PR opportunities in the form of exhibits and print/online features. Most importantly, they will be attending a once-in-lifetime workshop, facilitated by renowned proponents of creatives and story telling.
Only three finalists will be receive the grand prizes, which includes trophies and cash – specficially Php 80,000 for the Gold Award, P60,000 for Silver and P40,000 for Bronze. The finalists artworks will then be showcased to more channels like merchandise, billboards, etc.
HARI hopes to showcase the finalists talents even after the competition, and insipire more individuals to value arts and creativity. The group also aims to provide the perfect platform for individuals to show off their creative passions—be it through arts, films, wall murals, and more. Additionally, HARI believes that this collaborative journey will jumpstart a creative community bound with a purpose.
