Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, yielded a total of 21,405 units sold in January to November this year, 9-percent higher as compared with the same period last year. For the month of November, HARI says total units sold were 1,730 an increase of 1-percent year-on-year.
HARI's positive sales was through its Passenger Car segment which posted 23-percent year-to-date growth with 14,962 units sold from 12,174 units in the same period last year. With this, the company claims that they are confident to have higher sales this month driven by consumer demand and competitive promotions.
On the other hand, HARI's Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) segment grew by 5-percent equivalent to 567 units sold in November as compared to last year's 540. HARI added that their LCV segment posted a 13-percent decline with 6,443 units sold as compared to the same period last year.
