Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) has just held a preview of the 2015 Tucson during the inauguration of the company’s Logistics Center in Calamba, Laguna.
Scheduled to make its official Philippine debut later this year, the 2015 Tucson takes its styling cues from Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. In line with this, the 2015 Tucson comes with an aggressive front design that features a chrome-plated hexagonal grill, a muscular bumper and blacked-out headlights.
In side profile, the 2015 Tucson is characterized by sharp flowing lines, roof rails and prominent wheel arches. It is finished off with 17-inch or an optional 18-inch alloy wheels.
The rear of the 2015 Tucson is fitted with sporty taillights, a roof-mounted spoiler and a large bumper. It also has massive reflector lights, third brake light and twin exhaust pipes.
The interior of the 2015 Tucson has premium materials and detailed cabin surface. The seats of the vehicle comes with power adjustment, heating and ventilation features. It also has a three-spoke steering wheel with audio mounted control as well as glossy black and silver accents.
The powertrain details of the 2015 Tucson are not yet released by Hyundai but reliable sources pointed that the vehicle will be powered either by a 2.0-liter gasoline that delivers 155 PS and 192 Nm of torque or a 2.0-liter CRDi engine the generates 186 PS and 402 Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
