Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, has announced that their total sales have increased their numbers by 18-percent year-on-year with 1,982 units sold for the month of October.
HARI's positive sales performance was made possible through their models under the Passenger Car (PC) category which posted 33-percent gain in sales with 1,476 units. The double-digit growth of HARI's PC vehicles was propelled by the Eon, i10 and Accent. HARI claims that the Accent registered the highest sales in the PC category with a total of 667 units sold in Ocober.
On the other hand, HARI's Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) sales declined by 12-percent. HARI's LCV category only sold 506 units compared to the 576 units sold last October 2013. However, sales for the Tucson managed to grow by 29-percent year-on-year.
As of this writing, HARI's sales already reached a total of 19,675 units for the first ten months of the year, up by 10-percent from the same period last year.
