Hyundai recently became the official mobility partner of the first ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN). AMEN, a flagship program of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, which was launched in November 2017 and designed to accelerate the scaling of the small enterprises in ASEAN through mentorship.
“The partnership is a testament to our continuous commitment to the purpose of ASEAN, that is, to accelerate growth through enhanced cooperation within the ASEAN community. We are proud to be part of the ASEAN network--this time, highlighting the role of mentorship in empowering SMEs in the Philippines,” said Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. president and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.
During the event, which was attended by 450 mentors from both the public and private sectors in the ASEAN region, the 14-seater Hyundai H350 was used as the main mode of transport. It ferried delegates to and from venues of AMEN's “Mentoring the Mentors” program. Coincidently, the event was held back-to-back with the 10th Filipina Entrepreneurship Summit.
The Hyundai-AMEN partnership comes at the heels of Hyundai’s successful mobility partnership with the ASEAN Summit in November 2017. According to the company, the presence of Hyundai in AMEN reflects the Korean automoaker's confidence in the country’s business and investment climate as well it being a gateway to regional expansion.
