Following their first award in 2010, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official Philippine distributor of Hyundai vehicles, bags their second Global Distributor of the Year award for 2016 during the Global Distributors Convention held at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul, South Korea.
Accepting the award was HARI president and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo. Present with her during the awarding ceremony were HARI chairman Emeritus Richard L. Lee and chairman Edward S. Go. Apart from the heads, the award also acts as a nod to the Filipino entreprenurial genius and management capability. This resulted in the high sales and after sales services seen in Hyundai Philippines.
“We are ready to bring new business and economic value… to take our partnership with Hyundai Motor Company to greater heights… to strengthen Hyundai brand presence in the ASEAN. Together, with Hyundai Motor Company, we raise the Hyundai banner strong and proud in the Philippines and Southeast Asia,” said Agudo during her acceptance speech.
HARI receiving the award comes along with them having a record high sale in the first quarter, sealing HARI’s Industry position as the third top-ranking automotive firm in the country. HARI closed March 2017 with record sales of 3,371 units—the highest monthly output in the company’s 15-year history, pushing first quarter sales to 8,841, up by 18% as compared to the 7,469 units sold in the same period of 2016.
