Hyundai previews the 2014 Genesis in Korea


New Genesis will debut in major markets next year

Hyundai gets ahead with a preview of its 2014 Genesis prior its upcoming launch. The Korean media had the privilege of a preview at Hyundai’s R&D Center. During the said event, Hyundai released the first image renderings of the car.

The brand continues to use the design language in the latest Genesis with the Fluid Sculpture 2.0. It retains the aesthetic features such as the single-frame premium hexagonal grille, and fluid side lines. Its interior is at par with the premium exterior.  It has tailored design specifications for all materials to preserve its premium image.

The Genesis will also feature the Human Machine Interface that allows drivers intuitively recognize vehicle functions. The switches will facilitate easier control and effective use of its functions. In line with this, symbols have been standardized for improved recognition, as well as the feel of the grip and control.


Safety and performance have been improved too. The Genesis has better crash test safety results due to the improved body structure and rigidity. Moreover, technology such as the Emergency Fastening Device system and Pre-Safe seatbelt will protect the passengers during accidents. For performance, the Genesis will have improved driving, ride, and handling. It will be equipped with Advanced Traction Cornering Control, Rack-mounted Motor Driven Electric Power Steering, and HTRAC all-wheel drive system.

The 2014 Hyundai Genesis will have its Korean debut later this year. The debut in major markets will follow in 2014.
