In a surprise announcement by Hyundai, the Korean automaker is set to reveal the 5th generation Hyundai Accent. Since the current generation Accent started production in 2011, the Accent is already due for an all-new model. The car will be revealed next week at the Toronto Motor Show.

Before its official reveal, Hyundai has also released a teaser image and video which shows the the general shape of the all-new Accent.

Based on the image and the video, the new Accent features a cascading grille; Hyundai Motor's signature look that is present on all of its current lineup. Hyundai calls its current design language 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' and it has now been applied to the B-Segment sedan.

At the front, it hints of a new, more aggressive bumper, and projector headlights that feature daytime running lamps. It also has a sweeping roofline and a defined character line that runs the length of the side profile. The rear hints at a slim and modern rear bumper while its taillights are reminiscent of the current Elantra.

Hyundai has not revealed details regarding the engine nor the technologies to be expected in the fifth-generation Accent. Do expect that it will adapt a variation of the 'T-Design' dashboard as seen in current Hyundai models.
