Step aside Xpander, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has a new best-selling model. And no, it's not the previous Mirage or Mirage G4 for that matter. Instead, MMPC's top seller for August is the immortal L300.
Despite the implementation of Modified Enhance Community Quarantine (MECQ) in Manila, Cavite, Laguna, and Bulacan, MMPC sold a total of 2,621 units in August. Out of the 2,621, 699 units were of the L300. Meanwhile, the previous best-seller, the Xpander, slots down to 2nd place with 620 units sold. Rounding up the top-three is the Strada with 564 units sold.
The Mirage G4 sedan and Mirage hatchback could retake the title of the best selling nameplate in a few months as MMPC has a bunch of promos for the Mirage/Mirage G4 along with the L300. Currently, the company has the Rollback promo, dropping the price of the Mirage G4 GLX MT to just Php 528,000 and the Mitsubishi L300 (cab and chassis only) to Php 698,000.
“We at Mitsubishi Motors Philippine Corporation are optimistic that the economy will continue to improve in the succeeding months. We are geared to provide better offerings to the market to support their vehicle needs during these trying times. For the Mirage G4 and L300 which both are proudly Filipino-made, we rolled back its prices as far as 7 years to make it more affordable to the market,” said Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, president and CEO of MMPC.
Do you think the L300 will continue to be the best-seller in the months to come or will the Xpander, and possibly the Mirage re-take the crown? Let us know in the comments.
