Isuzu D-Max gets a refresh for 2018

Presumably final facelift of Isuzu D-Max launched at 2017 Thai Motor Expo

The venerable Isuzu D-Max receives yet another update for 2018. Though very slight, the latest makeover concentrates on the front of the pickup.

It comes in the form of revised bi-LED projector headlamps which feature a new LED light signature. A revised radiator grill which has been extended to the headlamps as well, giving sleeker and wider fascia. The foglamp garnish gets a slight tweak, as well. Sporty V-Cross variants get a metallic gray painted grill and front bumper guard.

While the side and rear essentially remains the same, the V-Cross variants get a new fender flare moulding made of ABS-plastic, and a new fasion rail on the bed. The revised look is finished off by two-tone scheme 18-inch wheels.

Under the hood, the D-Max retains both power mills; the 1.9-liter RZ4E-TC turbo diesel mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and 3.0-liter 4JJ-TC turbo diesel mated to either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Finally, it also gets Hill-Assist and Hill-Descent Control.

While interior layout is pretty much the same, it does benefit from a new brown color scheme and more soft-touch panels. V-Cross variants get a two-toned premium look, while standard versions get a mono brown color scheme for the seats.

This will likely be the final update for the Isuzu D-Max before it is succeeding with an all-new model jointly built with Mazda.
