Throughout its near six-year run in the country, the seven-seater Isuzu mu-X only received minor changes here and there. Perhaps serving as the current model's only major upgrade came courtesy of the BluePower engines for both the 3.0-liter and 1.9-liter models.

Other than that, the mu-X still relatively looks the same as when it first came out in mid-2014. Luckily, the automaker has introduced several minor updates on the mu-X for 2020 to keep it up-to-date.

Apart from revealing the 4WD D-Max Boondock, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) also quietly revealed the upgraded mu-X. Donning several exterior and interior upgrades, the mu-X has received a subtly revised front fascia, along with a better infotainment system.

Starting with the former, the mu-X gets a more stylish front grill. While it may look similar to the previous models, the updated version gets a more prominent finish. Next are the two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels which are only available on the top-of-the-line LS-A variants.

As for the interior, all remains the same inside the mu-X. IPC, did however, install a new touchscreen infotainment system. With it, the mu-X now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for your smartphone instead of just having Bluetooth.

Despite the updates introduced on the mu-X, IPC retained the original pricing as before.

Tthe Isuzu mu-X is already due for a full model change, though the all-new model has yet to be revealed. Last year, Isuzu launched the all-new D-Max, so it looks like it will be quite awhile before we see a new generation seven seater from Isuzu.
