After receiving a facelift, Isuzu PH set to launch special edition D-Max called Limited

The third-generation Isuzu D-Max has been in the Philippine market for quite some time now. It first arrived in the local market in early 2021 and then received a minor update in Q2 2023 to keep it fresh and up-to-date. But every once in a while, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) releases a special edition of the pickup truck.

From the X-Series to the Boondock, IPC is gearing up to reveal yet another limited version of the pickup truck, this time for the third-generation model. For now, the automaker has only released a teaser video of the soon-to-be-revealed special edition D-Max. But based on what we saw from the short video, it appears it will be called the Limited and may likely share some styling cues from the previous D-Max X-Series and Boondock pickups.

Starting with the exterior, the pickup receives a generous amount of red accents - particularly on the grille badge, the front bumper, the tailgate, as well as on the “Limited” decal on the side. Speaking of decals, the D-Max teased in the video also comes with what looks to be a unique body graphic.

Also worth mentioning are the 17-inch alloy wheels finished in black. While these may look new, the wheels were first used in the Boondoock edition first revealed in 2019. And in case you haven’t noticed it yet, the wheels are wrapped in Yokohama Geolandar A/T tires. While not yet revealed, we won’t be surprised if the pickup will come with monotube performance dampers that are aimed at improving ride comfort and also increasing the ride height by a few millimeters.

Based on the tailgate badging, the new special edition D-Max will come with the 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX turbo-diesel engine as standard that cranks out 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Transmission choices will likely include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.

With no exact date yet as to when Isuzu will actually reveal the special edition D-Max, all we can do for now is wait for more announcements. On the other hand, you can also visit/contact your nearest Isuzu dealership and inquire about the said pickup.
