Wellington Soong, Chairman and President of Jaguar Cars Inc. described the All-New Jaguar XJ as Jaguar's Brightest Diamond since it's the most technically advanced and luxurious vehicle the British carmaker has manufactured to date. Marc and Jason Soong, Executive Directors of Jaguar Cars Inc., together with Guests of Honor Graham Hatch, Regional Manager of Jaguar Overseas Operations and Mick Razza, Director of Jaguar Overseas Operations were all there to give their full support.
The Jaguar XJ will locally be available in Long Wheel Base configuration with a 5.0-liter V8 Petrol Engine producing 385 HP and 515Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-Speed Automatic transmission, allowing the all-new XJ to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 kph.
Jaguar's new flagship also features advanced new technologies that create an environment more akin to a state-of-the-art living space than a car's cabin. Stunning 12.3 inch high definition Virtual Instruments complement an innovative, Dual-View technology 8-inch touchscreen LCD that can project DVD movies or television programs to the passenger while the driver views vehicle functions. This technology is paired with a choice of colors, veneers and leathers not seen before in a Jaguar.
For audio entertainment, the Jaguar XJ comes with a top-of-the-range, 1200watt Bowers & Wilkins system, which is comparable in audio quality to the world's best home entertainment systems. Advanced infotainment features also include hard drive-based audio and navigation systems, and comprehensive connectivity for portable audio and video devices via the powerful Media Hub.
The Jaguar XJ will be available from July 2010 onwards at the Jaguar Lifestyle Centre located at the G/F ENZO Building, Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue.
