After being teased nearly a month ago, the Japanese automaker has finally revealed the 2015 WRX S4 which is now available for purchase in Japan.
Externally, it shares the same look of the current model being sold, but has minor tweaks that cater to the S4 variant. The bottom section of the A-pillar has been extended 200 mm towards the front while the side mirrors are placed at the door panel. This enabled the designers to create a quarter-sized window in helping drivers see out further. The front bumper features an air duct while side skirts govern the side profile of the car.
At the rear, a diffuser has been integrated on the bumper that is complemented by twin dual mufflers. The vehicle is also equipped with a decklid-mounted spoiler.
Inside, the interior is covered in black along with metallic accents. The gearshift boot has red stitching while the center console of the car are decorated with carbon fiber trims.
Powering the 2015 WRX S4 is a 2.0-liter Boxer engine that produces 300 PS at 5600 rpm with 400 Nm of torque at 2000-4800 rpm. It is mated to a Sport Lineartronic 7-speed CVT.
