So you finally have the keys to your brand new Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator. You're now probably thinking of the many ways you're going to dress up your new 4x4. But before you even think about customizing your new 4x4, do you actually know how to off-road?

Well, Jeep wants to teach its owners how to properly go off the beaten path with the first-ever Jeep Adventure Academy. Set to provide owners hands-on, off-road driving instruction to Jeep 4x4 owners, the academy will take place in select locations across the country and will be led by off-roading experts and prominent instructors.

Participants that will be joining the Jeep Adventure Academy will get to learn off-road basics and even more about their Jeep's go-anywhere capability. In addition, Jeep Adventure Academy classes will focus on several essential areas of off-roading like 4x4 system basics, techniques, trail etiquette, vehicle prep and equipment, and how to properly read terrains and challenging obstacles.

“Off-roading is a rite of passage for Jeep 4x4 owners and the new Jeep Adventure Academy will provide key knowledge every off-roader can use for hitting the trails,” said Jim Morrison, Head of Jeep Brand, FCA - North America. “The new Jeep Adventure Academy underscores the Jeep brand’s commitment to delivering Jeep 4x4 vehicles that provide owners with a sense of capability, safety, and security to handle any condition or adventure with confidence.”

Looking to join? Sadly, the Jeep Adventure Academy is only being offered in the US for now. A one-day session will cost $99 and will require Jeep 4x4 vehicle ownership. Each session will be led by professional staff from Jeep Jamboree USA, an organization that has been conducting off-road adventures since 1953.

Should Jeep Philippines decide to bring this type of activity to the country, it will greatly help those that are interested in going off the beaten path, equipped with the right set of skills to drive their Jeep off-road.
